The G-SLAS report revealed that the average academic achievement of Gujarat at primary education level of primary school students from Class III to VIII for the academic session 2013-2014 posted a result of only 45.18 per cent.
Of all 26 DIETs (District Institute of Education and Training) in Gujarat only two – Ahmedabad (urban) and Surendranagar — were ranked with satisfactory performance by the Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training (GCERT) sponsored research project “Gujarat State Level Learning Achievement Survey (G-LAS) 2013-14”.
